Event work in Delhi

Where events happen

Events in Delhi often run at venues like:

  • Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan)
  • Yashobhoomi (IICC, Dwarka)
  • Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium
  • India Habitat Centre
  • Select Citywalk and other South Delhi malls
  • Talkatora Stadium

Common areas for shifts: Pragati Maidan, Dwarka, Connaught Place, Saket, Lodhi Road and Rajouri Garden.

When the work is

October to March is the busy stretch: trade fairs at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi, wedding-season launches, winter concerts and year-end corporate events. April to June is quieter outdoors because of the heat, but indoor expos and mall activations keep running.

Getting there

The Delhi Metro reaches almost every big venue: Supreme Court (Blue Line) for Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25 (Airport Express) for IICC, JLN Stadium (Violet Line). Late-night shifts after concerts usually need a cab or a shared ride home, so ask about drop arrangements before you confirm.

Tip for Delhi crew: Trade-fair weeks in Delhi mean long standing days, 9 to 10 hours on your feet with a lot of walk-in visitors. Comfortable formal shoes, a power bank and a water bottle matter more than anything else. In winter, ask whether the post is indoor or outdoor; smoggy evenings at outdoor venues call for a mask.
