Where events happen
Events in Bengaluru often run at venues like:
- Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC)
- Palace Grounds
- KTPO (Whitefield)
- M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
- Phoenix Marketcity (Whitefield)
- tech parks on Outer Ring Road
Common areas for shifts: Whitefield, Outer Ring Road, Koramangala, Indiranagar, Electronic City and Hebbal.
When the work is
Mild weather means events run all year. Tech conferences and product launches peak from August to March; Palace Grounds hosts concerts and expos most months.
Getting there
Namma Metro's Purple and Green lines cover the centre and Whitefield. BIEC is next to Madavara station on the Green Line. Allow extra time for ORR and Silk Board traffic.
Tip for Bengaluru crew: Bengaluru has a lot of tech and startup events: conference registration, booth demos, swag counters. Comfort with tablets and badge scanners, and a few words of Kannada, go a long way.
