K-pop's Weverse Con picks Delhi for its first show outside Korea

HYBE's flagship festival comes to Yashobhoomi in March 2027. Presale went in about 20 minutes. What fan-festival demand means for the people on the ground.

India just landed a festival that has never left Korea. HYBE, the company behind TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN and LE SSERAFIM, is bringing Weverse Con Festival to New Delhi on 27 and 28 March 2027. It's the first edition outside South Korea since the festival started in 2023.

The tickets are already gone. Here's what happened, and what a K-pop fan festival asks of the crew who'll run it.

The announcement

  • Who's behind it. HYBE announced the India edition on 7 October. It's co-produced by HYBE India and BookMyShow Live, with tickets sold only on BookMyShow. HYBE CEO Jason Jaesang Lee said it "reflects our commitment to India as a key market".
  • Where. Time Out Delhi lists the Outdoor Expo Site at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, with the nearest metro at Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25. (One report says the convention centre, so expect the exact layout to be confirmed later.)
  • Who's playing. Announced acts include TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, HWASA, Eric Nam and Lara of KATSEYE, plus Indian artists including King, Reble and Gini. More acts are still to come.

The ticket rush

  • Presale. A Mastercard presale opened on 27 October with a virtual waiting room and random queue numbers. According to t2ONLINE and Time Out, every category sold out in about 20 minutes.
  • General sale. General sales opened on 30 October. t2ONLINE reported the festival sold out within 90 minutes. Outlook Respawn, citing fan screenshots, said more than 40,000 people were in the queue by 12:15 PM.
  • Prices. t2ONLINE listed five tiers, from General Access at ₹2,499 onwards to a Platinum Festival Pass at ₹14,499 onwards. Outlook Respawn reported a General Access price jump of about 37.5% on sale day, and fans complained about purchase limits being cut. The two outlets' price figures don't fully match.
  • Resale. Tickets quickly turned up on unofficial resale channels. BookMyShow warned that passes are non-transferable, and that tickets bought from third parties risk being invalidated at the gate.

What it means on the ground

A K-pop festival isn't a regular concert, and the ops plan has to reflect that.

  1. Fans arrive early, and they stay. Fan festivals run long, with merch, fan zones and brand experiences around the music. Expect queues hours before gates open, and plan shade, water and washrooms for the people waiting outside, not just inside.
  2. Five tiers means five sets of checks. General Access, VIP, Fan Pit, Super Fan Pit and Platinum each get different areas and perks. Every boundary needs a wristband or pass check, and crew at each one need to know exactly which pass goes where.
  3. The gate is where resale problems surface. If third-party tickets can be invalidated, someone at the gate has to tell a fan who travelled across the country that their ticket doesn't work. That needs calm, trained crew, a clear escalation desk and a supervisor nearby, not a shouting match at the turnstile.
  4. Merch is its own crowd. Merch counters at fan events draw some of the longest lines of the day. Treat them like an entry gate: barricaded lanes, a queue manager at the head and someone counting stock.
  5. Metro in, metro out. With a metro station named after the venue, a lot of fans will arrive by train. The walk from the station to the gate, and the rush back after the last set, need marshals and signage.

March is under five months away, which is when serious teams start planning sites and rosters.
